HTC Wildfire S Announced for T-Mobile

Today the team at T-Mobile will be announcing the availability of the HTC Wildfire S, a lovely little HTC device made to compete against the mid-tier onslaught we’ve been witnessing from Samsung, LG, and the lot. This device will be available on August 3rd, 2011, for $79.99 after a cool $50 mail-in rebate and tied to a 2-year agreement with qualifying “Classic” voice and data plan. This device will be running Android 2.3.x Gingerbread and will of course have a new version of HTC Sense for your ease of use.

Whether or not that means it’ll be working with T-Mobile’s new unlimited tiered system is a question we’ve posed to T-Mobile and are still waiting on a reply about. Check out the Tiered-Unlimited plans and let us know what you think. THis device will have a cool 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen display and will have at least one camera (on the back) at 5-megapixels large.

You’ll be able to grab this device in a lovely white color finish at T-Mobile stores nationwide as well as at their online stores. There’ll also be a special black color finish edition available at Walmart, Sam’s Club, and again, at T-Mobile’s online store at http://ww.t-mobile.com/. Which one shall you choose?

This device is almost certainly going to be able to compete against – and very likely win if the chassis are built right like HTC always does – the rest of the mid-range Android devices on T-Mobile. We’ve recently done a few reviews of the Samsung trio of mid-range devices on T-Mobile, check em out, and get ready for the Wildfire because it’s gonna be a fireball.
