Well, it looks like HTC is not done yet – or at least, that’s what these leaked images and this video is supposed to make us think. After the launch of their new flagship, the gaudy HTC One M9, rumors have not died down about a bigger version of the flagship phone – not quite to phablet sizes, but a 5.2-inch “HTC One M9 Plus”. Will we actually see this phone hit the market?

Nowhereelse.fr, that French tech blog which has been the source of many a solid rumor, has now in its possession a mockup of what the HTC One M9 Plus is supposed to look like. The model is equipped with a 5.2-inch screen, to the standard flagship’s 5-inch flat 1080p screen. As we said, it’s not quite a phablet, just a bigger phone (not quite iPhone 6 to iPhone 6 Plus). Maybe this is why we’re not seeing this in the market yet – HTC should think twice or thrice about this future phone’s screen size.

Also, it is rumored to be packing either the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 proc or a Mediatek MT6795, depending on the market. The change with the display is that it will be a 2K display, something that HTC One fans were desperate to see on the standard M9 but was all in vain. So, will we be seeing this phone for real? Something tells me that HTC is thinking hard on this, else we might have seen it launch together with the HTC One M9. Still, it’s not far from reality that the Taiwan-based manufacturer might just say “what the heck” and go with it. We all get to wait and see.

  1. I really see no reason to own the m9 plus. If they were going to Max it, surely a 5.5-5.7 inch screen would have been much better. I might have even gone for it, but I guess I’ll be going for the note 5
