Android Marshmallow for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is now ready from Verizon Wireless. This brings several enhancements and features to the premium tablet announced last year. It received the sweet Lollipop quickly after launch since it was the latest then but now, Android 6.0 is slowly taking over. It’s not really because Android N is being readied already. It’s just that the update for Galaxy Tab S2 is long overdue and perhaps the Galaxy Tab S3 is arriving soon.

Samsung is still on schedule though. We’re still on Q2 so feel free to download and enjoy the new version before the next one comes along. Make sure you are connected to a strong WiFi network and battery is fully charged so you won’t experience any problems. Phone will be specifically upgraded to version MMB29K.T817VVRU2BPE1.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 UK version and the S2 9.7 tablet in Germany already got the SOFTware update but this will be the first Galaxy tablet from Verizon to receive such. Changes will include Doze mode to conserve battery when app is not in use, Now on Tap for useful apps and information, and app permissions.

With the update, you will notice some enhancements on the email tool bar and search. More functions have been added and finding emails is now easier, as well as, viewing one’s inbox by Subject line, From, To, or All is now possible. The update also brings collages and animations in Gallery and a special drawing feature in Memo.

Android Marshmallow is now ready so expect to receive over-the-air (OTA) notifications. If not or if you are that impatient, you can always check manually. Go to Settings> About phone> Software updates> Check for Updates.
