The OnePlus 2 is coming very soon. Oh, we’re sure of that but we don’t know when exactly it will start shipping after its July 27 virtual reality launch. OnePlus has been dropping hints while gearing up for official unveiling. So far, we’ve seen the phone’s camera being reviewed and we’re told that they’ve enhanced the invite-only system with physical cards to be given instead.
A TENAA certification usually means the device is almost ready but we don’t have any link as proof. We only have these photos which appear to be real but could also be photoshopped. Regardless if they are real or not, the OnePlus 2 is arriving.
Based on the images, there was a reference to a ‘ONE A2001’ which we also spotted earlier at Geekbench 3 and Bluetooth SIG. The phone doesn’t look any different from the OnePlus One and we learned during a recent AMA on Reddit that the OnePlus 2 will be smaller.
The OnePlus 2 is believed to have been issued a license last June 30 for several LTE and GSM standards and dual SIM card support based on the document. You’ll notice there’s a physical home button which could also work as a fingerprint scanner. The design at the back is once again similar to the previous model but there’s another sensor just below the camera. As for the thin-/thickness, the smartphone is believed to be slightly thicker but not really noticeable.
