Speed tests featuring two premium smartphones are always appreciated. They are usually accurate because you can see with your own eyes how fast or slow a phone loads the OS, games, apps, videos, and do multitasking compared to another device. Most tests we’ve seen of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have been entertaining and interesting. A number of reviews got the mobile industry saying that the Galaxy S7 has the best camera today. A recent test said that the Exynos version is more powerful than the Snapdragon variant.
YouTube Channel Tech Trinkets recently published a Speed Test video comparing the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Both are powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. We’re assuming the smartphones both run an Exynos processor albeit different models (7420 and 8890) since the reviewer is based in the UK.
Watch the speed test video below and see which of the two is faster:
The new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is faster but maybe by one or few seconds. There’s a difference in loading time but not really noticeable. However, multitasking on the S6 Edge+ seems faster at some point. We can agree that the Galaxy S7 Edge is an improvement but if you want value for money, then the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is for you. It’s cheaper and we can expect prices or plans will be lower now that the latest Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have been introduced.
