The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is all set to start hitting the shelves soon. Starting today June 8th it will be for sale at the Union Square Best Buy in New York City, but for everyone else we are now hearing that pre-orders from Best Buy are under way today as well. Samsung is busy letting everyone know that this amazing tablet is now up for pre-order by sending emails out to just about everyone they can. If you don’t live in NYC then feel free to head to Best Buy and get this super thin tablet ordered.

I’m sure you all know plenty about this tablet but in case you don’t I’ll give you a few details. First off see our review of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 from Google I/O, it may look a little different but it will be very similar to what you will be buying in stores. It is the first Samsung tablet to ship with Honeycomb and it will be running the latest Android 3.1 Honeycomb from Google, word is the Touch Wiz UI will come in an optional update later for those that don’t care for it.

Available to pre-order at Best Buy now with pricing of $499.99 for the 16GB variant and $599.99 for the 32GB, making them priced to be competitive with the other options out there. The Galaxy Tab is the thinnest of them all so you might want to check it out in all its glory before buying.
