Over a month after Verizon, it’s AT&T’s turn to roll out the Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Note 5. You see, mobile carriers and OEMs are getting busier especially this Summer in releasing software updates because the Android N is about to launch in the coming months. Before the new Android dessert is out, at least, most of the latest smartphones and tablets introduced the past couple of years get to taste Marshmallow from Lollipop.

We were just waiting for the Marshmallow to come to the Note 5 and S6 edge+ since the announcement last month. AT&T got busy with a number of other things like the boost on GoPhone plans, 5G connectivity trials, and the Marshmallow beta program for the Priv. Now, AT&T is releasing the much-awaited SOFTware update to Samsung’s flagship phones from last year.

If you happen to own a Note 5 or an S6 edge+, make sure you have at least 1.6GB of free space before downloading the Marshmallow upgrade. AT&T is releasing it over-the-air (OTA) but as usual, you can always check Settings> About device> Software update on their device.

Version is already Android 6.0.1 so expect to see better notifications, improved app permissions, Doze mode, and an enhanced user interface. Battery life will be better now. The update will also contain the latest Security Patch level up to June 1, 2016.
