Earlier reports suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S II would be coming to Verizon starting sometime in July. Those reports were brought to us by Computerworld but it looks like now just a few hours later and after everyone and their dog ran the story, that it was actually incorrect. It looks like what they meant to say was the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be hitting Verizon in July, not the Galaxy S II superphone.

Recently we reported the Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G LTE would be up for pre-order on Verizon starting today June 8th but we have not heard anything regarding the pre-order. With this new information it appears pre-orders will in fact be starting soon and the device will be shipping in July, that is if this new piece of information is correct.

So for now it looks like the amazingly thin Galaxy S II we reviewed here wont be hitting the streets here in the U.S. come July, but sadly at a later date that has yet to be revealed. Hopefully with this mix up and confusion Samsung will come out with more details regarding the Galaxy S II in the U.S

  1. The carriers are gonna polute the damn thing anyway – and I’m sure that’s going to take away the rawness from the benchmarks, that’s just my opinion. Wish I had $800 and a AT&T contract, right now!!
