Samsung announced the Galaxy NX camera back at an event in June, but since then the chatter seems to have gone quite. As of today however, it looks like we are getting a look at the UK pricing for the camera. But first, those who missed that original news may want to know the Galaxy NX is an Android powered camera that ships with an interchangeable lens setup.

Anyway, the Galaxy NX has recently turned up on a pair of UK based retailers. The listings have been discovered with Jessops and Wex Photographic. The camera is listed as being available and in-stock with Jessops, however this isn’t a device that will be a quick purchase for many. Simply put, just like the interchangeable lens setup rivals some DSLR setups — so does the price.

The Galaxy NX camera is listed at £1,299. For those outside of the UK and wondering about that price, we are talking roughly $2,000 in terms of US dollars. Of course, there are some perks. For one, the Galaxy NX is running Android which means plenty of available apps and options including sharing. You have 16GB of internal storage and connectivity in the form of LTE, 3G and WiFi.

The camera ships with a 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor and an 18-55mm lens. There is also a quad-core 1.6GHz processor that is paired with 2GB of RAM. Earlier details about the camera have it listed as being able to shoot at 8.6 frames per second with a shutter speed of 1/6000.

The key with all this, while these listings have begun appearing, we have to remember that Samsung has yet to say anything officially. That being said, we did spend a bit of hands-on time with the Galaxy NX the day it was announced. For that we have a hands-on post with plenty of images as well as a video. The video can be seen above.
