Need more convincing that Samsung is about to release a new Galaxy? By now, you should be convinced already because the company has confirmed a new product will be unveiled on August 2 in a special event in New York City. Press invites were revealed earlier this week. All we need to do is sit back, relax, and wait for more leaks and early sightings until the official announcement. It’s only a couple of weeks anyway.

The Galaxy Note 7 will arrive together with the Galaxy Note 7 edge. The duo is said to be released in several key markets on the same day. We’re looking at South Korea, United States, United Kingdom, and China receiving the handsets first before the rest of the world.

In the US, the Galaxy Note 7 has recently passed FCC certifications. As you know, any visit to the Federal Communications Commission means an impending release in the country.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 FCC

The FCC document lists not just one but six variants of the Note 7. We’re assuming each one is for a specific carrier. They are as follows:
• SM-N930V (Verizon)
• SM-N930A (AT&T)
• SM-N930T (T-Mobile)
• SM-N930P
• SM-N930R
• SM-N930W8

These Samsung Galaxy Note 7 listed might be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and 6GB RAM. There will be Exynos 8893 variants but in other markets most probably in Europe and Asia.
