If Samsung doesn’t push through with the Galaxy S5 Prime, also known as the Galaxy F, then Samsung’s next S-Pen phablet might do the trick instead. Details about the rumored Galaxy Note 4 are leaking out and, unsurprisingly, it is being clothed with the best of the best.

One of the things that people are waiting for in the rumored premium version of the Galaxy S5 is the upgraded screen resolution, going from Full HD to Quad HD. This is the same resolution size, 2560×1440 pixels to be exact, that is being bequeathed onto the Galaxy Note 4, or so the sources say. What isn’t yet a sure deal, at least as far as rumors go, is the size. Last we heard, it will remain at 5.7 inches, same as the Galaxy Note 3. That’s rather unusual, definitely, but still considerably larger than Samsung’s Galaxy S5 flagship, which is normally the case for the Note smartphones.

As far as processors go, there are two variants that is said to be available, which is again quite normal. One will bear a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 while the other will interestingly be carrying a yet unannounced Samsung Exynos 5433. This is a slight variant to the Exynos 5430 which was believed to power the Galaxy S5 and was then rumored to go with the Galaxy S5 Prime. This chip is a curious beast as it utilizes an Intel XMM7260 Cat 6 LTE modem, finally bringing LTE capability to Samsung’s SoC.

The final piece of this leak puzzle points to the rear camera, which is noted to be a 16 megapixel one with Optical Image Stabilization. Curiously, Samsung is handing over the reins to, drumroll, Sony, whose yet to be announced IMX240 is believed to make its debut on Samsung’s phablet, replacing the ISOCELL sensor that the Korean manufacturer has been singing about for some time now. That said, the front camera remains at 2 megapixels and is still probably Samsung’s doing.

Unless Samsung does something to upset the natural cycle, like, say, unveiling a Galaxy S5 Prime/Galaxy F sometime very soon, we can expect the Galaxy Note 4 to be unveiled some time in August or September. This would, of course, coincide with the revelation of the Galaxy Note 3 last year and the Galaxy Note II the year before that.
