Since Android Wear was introduced, ASUS is one of those few OEMs that jumped the bandwagon. The ZenWatch was launched as early as September 2014 which was soon followed by the ZenWatch 2 revealed during the IFA last year. It’s that time of the year once again and we’re expecting the Taiwanese tech giant to announce a new smartwatch model. This time, instead of a rectangular design, expect a round smartwatch as an FCC filing was sighted, showing a circular design.

We’re guessing the smartwatch will be called the ASUS ZenWatch 3 unless the company decides on a new name. The FCC document tells us some information on the specs although not complete. This new ZenWatch is said to feature Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHZ), and a stainless steel back. We don’t even know the screen size, resolution, and battery or if the smartwatch will have cellular or LTE connectivity but IFA 2016 is happening in a few weeks so let’s wait and see until then.

To review, the previous ASUS ZenWatch 2 comes equipped with a 1.63-inch display, 320×320 pixel resolution, 512MB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 4GB built-in storage, 400mAh battery, and IP67 certification. We’re hoping that the next ZenWatch 3 will have better specs and features than what we just mentioned.
