The new OPPO F1 is one smartphone that selfie addicts will love. Described as the Selfie Expert, this imaging-heavy OPPO handset is now ready for pre-order in Europe and other countries. Judging from the official promo images, the unit is targeted for the ladies who are vain in taking endless photos of themselves.
OPPO has installed a high quality 8MP front-facing camera on this one complete with a f/2.0 aperture lens, 1/4-inch sensor. It even features OPPO’s own patented Screen Flash that converts the phone’s screen into a camera flash. The results are great selfies all the time. The 13MP main camera supports HDR, delivering sharp images with vivid colors.
Phone also boasts of a premium feel and design, thanks to the full-body metallic frame. Surface is velvety because the material was treated with zircon sand surface coating for that smooth and attractive finish according to OPPO. Other specs include a 5.0-inch screen, 3GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-core 64-bit chipset (MSM8939), and a 2500 mAh battery. First released in Vietnam last week, the OPPO F1 runs ColorOS 2.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The rounded edges give a streamline and sleek look but we all know that’s something very familiar. It looks a lot like an iPhone 6 and the rest of the clones out there. No word on exact availability but it’s ready for pre-order HERE with a €229 ($249) price tag.
