We’ve been talking about OnePlus set to bring HydrogenOS – its software fork specifically designed for Eastern markets – and OxygenOS together in one build soon. These community builds, though not production builds and will certainly have some bugs in them, will probably be the best representation of where OnePlus means to go with their software moving forward. Right now, we have new updates to the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus X OxygenOS community builds.

First up, the OnePlus 3 OxygenOS community build is now up to version 3.5.2. If you’re on a community build already, the update notification should get to you soon, or you can download and flash from the source link below. New improvements include the addition of a “kill all background processes” button in recents menu, enhanced incoming call notification UI, improvements to Battery Saver mode, improvement in the dialer speed, and the addition of support for PIN codes up to 6 digits.

The OnePlus X OxygenOS community build is now up to 3.1.1. This is a smaller download at around 760+ MB, but it’s still a considerable one and you need to be on a good wifi connection to get this update. New improvements include the added ability to move apps to SD card, improvements in touch speed and accuracy, improved HFR in video capture, numerous other bug fixes and implementing Google’s September security patches.

Remember though, these are community builds and are designed with semi-beta version functions in mind. Most of the features work, but do not be surprised to find a bug or 3 in the works. OnePlus also needs you to inform them if you do encounter a bug. Download the builds from the links below.
