We still haven’t heard from OnePlus regarding the issue of its Type-C USB cables not compatible with some 3rd party chargers but the company recently announced exchange and buyback programs for all three smartphones. The Chinese OEM partnered with ReGlobe in India to allow customers to trade in their old OnePlus One’s for the newest OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X. Not that your OnePlus One is already old and obsolete but it’s much better if you upgrade to the newest model.

This promo is available only in India where OnePlus now has a factory. The brand is popular among the Indians because of its affordability, giving value for money. With the exchange schemes, you can either ‘Buy First, Sell Later’ or ‘Sell First, Buy Next’. You have two options but OnePlus will still have to check to if your phone is in good condition. But given the OnePlus One is less than two years old, we’re assuming your unit is still okay unless you’ve been using it for drop and stress tests.

Decide if you want a OnePlus 2 or a OnePlus X and see if you want to buy or sell first before selling or buying. Don’t be confused between the two options. Ultimately, the end goal is the same: own a new OnePlus smartphone.

If you go for the ‘Buy First, Sell Later Option’, you will receive an invite code from ReGlobe so you can pick-up the OnePlus unit on a scheduled date. Once the sale of the old phone is approved, you will again receive activation of the invite so you can receive an Amazon Gift Coupon and Free Insurance within 3 to 5 days.

With the ‘Sell First, Buy Next Option’, you just have to sell the phone first to OnePlus (trade in) and wait for approval from the company. Once done, you will receive an invite for either the OnePlus X or OnePlus 2 plus the Amazon Gift Coupon worth the value of your old device.

If you’re interested to get a new OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X, feel free to check out ReGlobe. You can also register for the OnePlus and ReGlobe Exchange Program on OnePlus website.
