If you like your games weird, then most of Noodlecake Studios’ games will find a spot in your heart. These games, some featured on a recent Humble Bundle, will challenge the way you look at simple casual gaming. This new one, “Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork”, also debuted via Humble Bundle and is now available via standard download at the Google Play Store.
But what the heck is a Glork? Or even a Glorkian Warrior? What is this game? You may find yourself asking these questions over and over again while playing, but there will come a point in time that you will get hooked. It still won’t change the fact that it’s a strange game.
At its roots, Glorkian Warrior is a weird Galaga-style game. We haven’t mentioned it’s weird yet, have we? The familiar shoot-em-up gameplay is meshed with platformer gaming action. The visuals will remind you of Saturday Morning cartoons like Adventure Time, which is a weird cartoon in itself. Essentially you shooting alien-like creatures floating in the sky.
If you didn’t get the game via Humble Bundle, then too bad. Now it’s pay to play at USD$2.99. But the good news is that it doesn’t have any IAPs that would bug you as you’re playing. Pay one time, and then enjoy the game. Check out the download link below.
