The Nokia 8.1 that launched last month in Europe is the same as the Nokia X7 in China. The device is getting a follow up in the form of the Nokia 8.1 Plus although we don’t have many details from HMD Global. What we have here are rendered images and a 360-degree video prepared by 91Mobiles and OnLeaks. This is different from the Nokia 9 but expect both phones to be in the first half of 2019. What will make the Nokia 8.1 Plus stand out is the camera hole in the screen for the selfie shooter.
The Nokia 8.1 Plus may be joining the ranks of the Samsung Galaxy A8s, Huawei Nova 4, and the Honor View20.
The Nokia 8.1 Plus is expected to arrive with an almost bezel-less display. Don’t expect a notch because the punch hole design is enough. HMD Global definitely knows how to keep up with the trend fast.
Here are rendered images of the upcoming Nokia 8.1 Plus:
The Nokia 8.1 Plus shows a large screen with cut-out hole for the front-facing shooter located on the top left corner. The chin is still obvious because the Nokia logo is there.
Features of the phone include a 6.22-inch display, Full HD+ resolution, 3.5mm earphone socket, volume rocker and power buttons on the left, USB Type-C port at the bottom, speakers, mic hole, rear glass panel, and a rear fingerprint sensor.
When it comes to imaging, there is a dual rear camera setup with dual LED flash and Zeiss lens. It will measure 156.9 x 76.2 x 7.9mm.
