We had seen plenty of expected shipping dates for the Nexus 7 dock, however as of today — it has begun shipping. This applies to those in the US, however it looks like the dock is only shipping with one retailer at the moment. Those looking to make a purchase will want to head to the ExcaliberPC.com website where the dock is priced at $39.99.

Of course, you also have to take shipping into consideration here. The shipping will vary depending on the location, however in this instance, they wanted a bit more than $10 to ship using FedEx. And even more to ship using the postal service. Simply put, you will have to decide whether having a dock is worth roughly $50.

In terms of what to expect, this is a fairly basic dock. You will get what is being described as a dock “with an attractive design that combines polished glass on the outside and durable-grip rubber on the inside.” More important here, you will be getting a dock with a microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack. Basically, what you get is a dock that allows you to charge and/or play music through external speakers.

Otherwise, in addition to the ExcaliberPC.com listing, the Nexus 7 dock has also been spotted with B&H Photo. The B&H listing has the dock priced at $39.99, with an expected availability date as January 18. Finally, given we have seen some third-party retailers, we are also keeping an eye on the Google Play Store in hopes the Nexus 7 dock comes available (with a slightly lower price point).
