We had been expecting the Nexus 4 wireless charging orb to launch in February. We had even seen it listed with a few retailers showing a $59.99 price point. And well, it looks like the charging orb is now available for sale. The price is the same as we had seen and the availability is direct from the Google Play Store.
According to the product listing, the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger is available to ship soon — which is “in less then one week.” In addition to the nearly $60 price tag, those making the purchase will also have to add in the cost for shipping as well as sales tax. Simply put, while a cool item to have for your handset, it is certainly not the least expensive method to charge your handset.
Nonetheless, if you have $60 to spend, a wireless charger is a cool accessory to have. As far as the specs and details go, the Wireless Charger is said to be able to charge up your Nexus 4 in four hours. Those making the purchase can expect to get the charger itself as well as a power adapter and microUSB cable. Basically, everything you need to plug it in and have it charging your Nexus 4.
Otherwise, while not necessarily part of the deal, it is interesting to see that Google choose to use the Battery Widget? Reborn! Pro app in the picture of the Nexus 4. For those not familiar with that app, it provides goodies such as basic battery info along with status bar notifications, a charging and discharging chart, widget and more. Finally, those looking for the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger, you can use this link for a direct route to the Play Store.
