Republic Wireless has confirmed the upcoming availability of the Moto G. The carrier has offered some details on the price and a bit about how the Moto G is the “perfect match” for them. The handset will be arriving in April, however Republic Wireless has yet to pinpoint a specific date.
For now the plan is to launch the Moto G “as early in April as possible.” There was also mention of them giving everyone “a heads up a few days before the actual launch.” In the meantime, Republic Wireless will have the 8GB and 16GB models available and priced at $149 and $179 respectively.
The plans then begin at $5 per month for unlimited talk, text and data (over WiFi). Stepping up to $10 per month will get you the same WiFi coverage as the $5 option, along with unlimited talk and text over cellular. Republic Wireless also has unlimited 3G data and unlimited 4G data options available for $25 and $40 per month.
There was also confirmation that Republic Wireless will be launching the Moto G with Kit Kat. Specifically, Android 4.4.2. Other specs for the Moto G include a 4.5-inch 720p display, quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 2070 mAh battery, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and 5 megapixel rear-facing camera.
We’ve had plenty of Moto G coverage since the original announcement, including a full review.
