We learned that Meizu might be releasing seven new phones this 2016. One of which is the Meizu Pro 6 recently spotted on a GFXBench database. We’re no longer doubting about its development and upcoming release as we’ve seen early images already from the company’s VP himself. We know it will be powered by a new Helio processor by Mediatek and that phone will have a gold variant that could look a lot like the Meizu Pro 5 Gold Edition released in China only last November.
More photos surfaced over the weekend. Interestingly, the unit shown off looks a bit different from the one Meizu Vice President Li Nan shared on Weibo. The phone still has the same shape and design but the back panel now shows a different shape of the camera and flash.
The first set of photos shown off last week featured a smaller flash while the new set shows off a round camera and a round flash (or is it a fingerprint scanner?) Others say it’s the laser autofocus. Phone is set in a metallic gold finish once again with a white front panel, with possibly a Type C plug, 1080p display, mTouch fingerprint scanner, new antenna design, 3.5mm headphone jack, 6GB RAM, 2.5D curved display, Hi-Fi 3.0, Flyme 6.0 OS, and fast-charging capability.
