LG didn’t make a fuss about its latest Android slate in South Korea but the G Pad II 8.0 is very much similar to the previous model but of course, with some new features. The tablet features the same 8-inch screen with 1280 x 800 px IPS display and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The processor is still the same: Snapdragon 400 chipset but now with 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, as well as, Adreno 305 GPU.

This slate now boasts of a 1.5GB RAM which is a slight improvement, 32GB built-in storage, microSD card slot for expansion, GSM/3G/LTE connectivity, 2MP front camera, 5MP main camera, and a 4,200 mAh battery. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, this G Pad II 8.0 now has a USB 2.0 port which can support external accessories like flash drives, external keyboards, and mice even without any adapters.

Making this Android tablet attractive is the fact that LG is bringing Microsoft Office suite to the device so the busy professionals can work and be productive while on-the-go. LG’s very own Quick Memo app, Qpair, and Knock Code features have also been enhanced for the user.

No mention on pricing and when the slate will be available in other regions but it will be ready in South Korea within the the next few weeks or months, probably this October as rumored. There is a big chance for the G Pad II 8.0 to hit other countries too because the previous model had an international release.
