When LG released its G Watch last year, people were genuinely excited and interested how the OEM will create their first wearable for the Android Wear platform. However, the hype was better than the product, and the G Watch became an example of how not to make a smartwatch. They were able to improve things considerably with the LG G Watch R, but it looks like they’re bringing it up another notch with the upcoming LG Watch Urbane.

Today, LG officially released the fist product video showcasing Watch Urbane. While no details were shown or announced, the less-than-a-minute video actually just highlights how elegant looking the watch will be. From the watcfaces, to the design of the watch itself, even the straps are lovingly shown off, getting people excited for the newest wearable in the market.

Just like the LG G Watch R, the first smartwatch with the “first” fully round display, the Watch Urbane will also have a 1.3-inch full circle P-OLED display (plastic OLED). It will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and will have 512MB of DDR2 RAM and 4GB of internal storage. But of course what they’re hyping on is that it looks just like a luxury watch and the video emphasizes that as well.

What the video didn’t show is what features it will have, although we already know a few details, like it will have a PPG heart sensor and “Always-on” ambient mode. But as for when it will actually be available and what the price points will be, we have to wait a few more days until the Mobile World Congress begins on March 2.
