We’ve seen various external storage solutions for mobile devices, and it looks like another has since been unveiled. Leef Technology has released the Leef Access, which is a dongle that makes use of an existing microSD memory card and then plugs into your Android smartphone using a microUSB connection.

The Leef Access is touted as being a “simple,easy-to-use solution” that allows you to both access and transfer data from the memory card to your device. And to clarify, this setup will allow you to play audio and video files direct from the memory card, which means it may be a good option for those with limited internal storage and no memory card slot for expansion.

This setup uses microUSB 2.0. The Access also has an LED indicator light and is said to be waterproof and dustproof. Also important to note is the compatibility — Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or later. Leef Technology has the Access priced at $9.99 and available as of today. The Leef Access can be purchased from Amazon, as well as direct from Leef by way of their website.

Along with the Leef Access, we’ve also seen the Leef Bridge which is a dual USB/microUSB flash drive. The Bridge works in a similar manner to the Access, however the Bridge has built-in storage (as opposed to looking towards a microSD card). Leef has the Bridge available with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage with price points of $19.99, $34.99 or $59.99 respectively.
