The HTC One Max is no stranger to leaks at this point. Another image leak has surfaced and this time around we are seeing the One Max sitting alongside the One and One Mini smartphones. While all three look rather similar, there are a few additional items sitting on the back of the One Max this time around.

The images come by way of the Chinese language ePrice who speculate this could be a fingerprint scanner. While this cannot be fully confirmed with this image alone, the details that came along with include mention of how these are from a very credible source. The source did mention that was a fingerprint scanner, but didn’t provide much else in terms of detail.

Aside from the fingerprint scanner, which is easy to see sitting just below the camera lens and flash, there was also another item on the back of the One Max. The cutout of the image doesn’t do much to confirm what this other item is, but it would appear to be connectors for a charging dock. Neither of these were shown on those recently leaked renders, however maybe that is what was meant by “non-final artwork.”

Otherwise, we are expecting to see the One Max announced with a 5.9-inch display and 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 3300 mAh battery, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera and an UltraPixel camera on the back.

Touching back on the fingerprint scanner and while that looks exactly like what it could be, we do have to remember that things are not always what they appear. Those looking back to the LG G2 leaks will likely remember that the handset was once believed to have a fingerprint scanner. But as we now know, that turned out to be a volume rocker. In the meantime, given the way the One Max leaks have been coming, we suspect this will not be the last before an official announcement.
