You’ve seen the review, you’ve read the user guide; now it’s time to own the phone itself. Sprint’s EVO 4G is up for sale online and – in a matter of hours – in-store, offering the US’ first WiMAX smartphone.
Priced at $199.99 – after a $150 online discount and a $100 mail-in rebate – with a new two-year agreement, the EVO 4G has a vast 4.3-inch WVGA display, HTC Sense, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, WiFi, WiMAX and GPS. It’s running Android 2.1 at present, though there’s already a Froyo hack in the wild.
So, anybody tempted?
