HTC 10 is a promising smartphone if only the Taiwanese company lowers the price some more. We have no idea if HTC is considering the idea but at least we know there’s the HTC 10 Lifestyle offering. Weeks of leaks and rumors got us all curious about the next HTC phone but it didn’t impress us much although it’s the perfect One M7 reboot. We think it’s a worthy upgrade with a hi-res audio and imaging quality if you are really looking for a new smartphone.

Even before the official release of the HTC 10 in market, we learned about its bootloader locking terms that seem to be pro-consumers. True enough, it already has a TWRP version. It’s a new build of a custom recovery that can be used by HTC 10 users. It’s easy-to-use. Just unlock the bootloader and fastboot flash TWRP–it’s that simple.

This is quite early for the HTC 10 since most flagship devices get theirs months or years later. Well, it didn’t take the TWRP team that long because HTC already said that the phone is open for customizations and modifications. The unlockable bootloader on the HTC 10 makes everything easier so yeah, that’s one difference of the HTC 10 that’s very notable but it will still depend on the mobile carrier.
