We’ve been treated to Huawei’s launch of the Huawei P9, and the slightly larger Huawei P9 Plus. If the Chinese manufacturer is true to form, there would be a successor to the gargantuan Huawei P8Max, and it looks like GFXBench might have just captured the first specs of the said phablet. How much are you willing to bet that there would be a Huawei P9 Max?
The Huawei P8Max was huge at 6.8 inches. What we’re seeing here is a device with a 6.9-inch screen, and the folks at GFXBench mark it as using a Kirin 950 processor – Huawei’s in-house chipset technology. The pixel density is a bit disappointing, at almost 7 inches, the device still has only a FullHD (1080p) resolution, resulting to a measly 319ppi. You would think Huawei would consider upping it to a 2K display, being that the P8Max was only at FullHD as well.
The processor of the unknown device is supported by 3GB RAM and a Mali-T880 graphics chip. Internal storage is at 32GB, although that would most likely be expandable via microSD slot. The camera solution is a 16MP/8MP combo, and we surprisingly don’t see 4K video recording as a capability, which is sad if true.
We may yet see some changes to this, if it is the P9 Max. We hope that there will be some changes in the specs before its release. Of course, there is still no official word from Huawei if there is going to be a Huawei P9 Max.

Hopefully the display resolution increases with the panel being s large , the lower dpi will be hard to overlook.
