If you’re a fan of the cyberpunk gaming franchise Deus Ex, then you’d be happy to know that the Deus Ex universe will soon be part of the iconic GO lineup of games from Square Enix. After the critically-acclaimed Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO, it seems like we’re going to be getting Deus Ex GO pretty soon.

Deus Ex GO will continue the patented gameplay from the GO lineup of games, and this will be a turn-based infiltration puzzle game. The game will feature a stylized version of the Deus Ex universe, much like how Hitman and Lara Croft were interpreted visually. Players will take control of covert agent Adam Jensen, and the game will feature hacking, combat, and other game augmentations to solve puzzles.

The lineup is beginning to get some pedigree. Hitman GO was awarded Best Game Design 2014 Canadian Video Game Awards, while Lara Croft GO won Game of the Year in Apple’s Best of 2015, and Mobile Game of the Year in IGN’s Best of 2015. People are beginning to expect good games from the GO lineup.

“With Deus Ex GO, we really want to take the GO series to another level,” said Patrick Naud, Head of Studio at Square Enix Montreal. “Building on the learnings of Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO, our goal is to push the experience a step further in terms of visual treatment and game design in order to bring you a fresh, reimagined puzzle experience that celebrates the franchise.”
