OnePlus is set to unveil the new One Plus 3 a few weeks from now but before the official announcement, expect to hear more rumors and see more leaks. The latest information we heard was that that there will be two variants of the next-gen OnePlus–a 4GB RAM/32GB version and a 6GB RAM/64GB model. We also know the units will have mid-range pricing to maintain the OEM’s affordability even if they are considered as the flagship phones. You know how it is with the Chinese OEMs. They are able to release phones at low prices but with impressive specs that could very well rival the expensive models from the top brands like Samsung, LG, Sony, or Apple.

OnePlus isn’t exactly THE brand to choose right now but its aggressive marketing makes us think that it has what it takes to go after the older and more established brands. We’re expecting more from the upcoming OnePlus 3 especially now that we know the series will come in a duo. For the next-gen phone, we’re hoping wireless charging, quick or fast charging, plus a higher Snapdragon chipset. OnePlus skipped the wireless and quick charging but hopefully this year, the new phones will finally have the improved charging technology.

We’re betting on the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 but a trademark was recently sighted with some reference to a ‘Dash Charge’. We don’t have any idea what it is but there’s the ‘Charge’ reference. It could mean anything related to a new charging tech that OnePlus is developing or maybe just a simple renaming of current technology that the brand is adopting.

Dash Charge could be OnePlus’ own charging solution. We’re expecting it to be fast or something you could do in a dash. We’re crossing our fingers that it will be related to a fast or quick charging tech because OnePlus clearly needs to step up its game.
