Because the iPhone 6S is now available on retail, a lot of Android mobile camera-heads have taken to comparing the camera sensor of Apple’s latest flagship to the cameras of Android flagships. We are probably not the first to tell you that camera quality is one of the biggest elements that either draws in or turns off people from mobile gadgets like smartphones and phablets. So if you’re interested, some people actually did the comparison for you, and the short version is, you might want to stay with Android.
The first test is from The Verge, where the Apple iPhone 6S dukes it out with current DxOMark image quality leader the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the LG G4, also known for its great camera. You can watch the video below, where a pair of camera experts took some photos with the phones and compared them. The short version is – there are some things that the iPhone 6S does well, like busy photos with lots of elements, but on the whole, it gives a tinge of green to almost all types of pics.
The second test was made by Chinese tech website IGAO7.com, where the Apple flagship was compared to the older Apple models – the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus – and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, also a top camera performer for Android devices. This was a straight up picture for picture match up. We’re posting some of the comparisons below, but you can head to our IGAO7 source link for more comparisons.
The bottom line? The iPhone 6S still has a top camera for users, and there are things that it will shoot well. But beside the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, comparisons will not work out well for the iPhone 6S.

Camera quality is easily one of my must haves for a cellphone. I no longer carry my SLR on vacation. My cellphone pics are good enough. SLR is bulky and doesn’t do well on amusement park rides. My cellphone is always on me.
Don’t worry Fanboys, you will have a better camera in 2017.
