It looks as if the battle continues over the recent Wall Street Journal Poll asking who makes the best mobile OS. Launched late last week, we first say the poll with strong numbers favoring Android which, considering it’s user base, is not surprising that it came first among readers of the site. However, yesterday we reported on Microsoft shooting up in the rankings.

It was believed that some confusion about the meaning of the poll caught distracted readers off guard. Thinking it was an operating systems question and not a mobile OS question, users are more likely to side with Microsoft due to it’s extreme market share.

Well now Android is back on top, most likely thanks to some sketchy hack. But nonetheless we can now put this beside us and reflect on the true meaning on online polls: fanboys will be fanboys and online polls can not be taken too seriously all the time.
