The year 2018 ended for Motorola with the P40 being teased. It’s not really Lenovo or Motorola’s doing but OnLeaks and 91Mobiles presented the image renders and 360-degree to the public. They simply gave us an idea about how the next-gen Motorola P smartphone will look like. It may be too early for the P40 since the Motorola P30 was officially announced last August but you know how it is in the mobile industry. Then again, we won’t be surprised if it’s released in the first half of the year because the brand needs to work double time.
A new image of the Motorola P40 surfaced on Twitter. A certain Andri Yatim (@HeyAndri) shared a photo of the P40 plus detailed specs.
According to the source, the Motorola P40 will have a large 6.2-inch IPS display, HD+ resolution, 6GB of RAM, 64BG or 128GB onboard storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 mobile processor, dual AI 48 + 5MP rear cameras with f1.75 aperture, AI 12MP selfie camera with f1.8, and a 4132mAh battery. The Motorola P40 is expected to run Android One based on Android 9 Pie already.
Yatim further shared at least one camera will be a Sony IMX586. This should also be available on future smartphones from top OEMs like Sony, Xiaomi, Alcatel, Huawei, and Motorola among others.
Notice the 48 megapixels? This isn’t the first time we’re hearing this but the 48MP primary sensor may be similar to the rumored 48MP Xiaomi phone and the Huawei Nova 4. Our source also said the 48MP cam is too much “but it helps with close-up”.
