HMD Global is introducing the new Nokia 5.1. We’ve learned about this Android phone a couple of weeks ago. We know some details about the new iteration of the Nokia 5 but with a number of notable improvements. Earlier, we told you the phone is the most expensive among three new Nokia phones already being prepped for release. We mentioned its display will be bigger at 5.5-inches Full HD+ screen, 18:9 aspect ratio, 16MP main camera with phase detection auto-focus, wide-angle front-facing camera, rear fingerprint sensor, 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio P18 octa-core processor, 2GB or 3GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB built-in storage, and NFC for Google Pay among others.

Aside from the Nokia 5.1, rumor has it there will also be the Nokia 5.1 Plus. Obviously, it will be a bigger variant of the Nokia 5.1 with better specs and features. We’ve got a gallery of 3D renders for your viewing pleasure. The Nokia 5.1 Plus makes it already as the ninth handset from Nokia this 2018 alone.

OnLeaks and Tiger Mobiles worked together to come up with these believable 3D renders.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus follows the Nokia 2,1, 3.1 and  Nokia 5.1 announced only last May. When it comes to the specs and features, the Nokia 5.1 Plus is said to come with a 5.7-inch display and 149.5 x 71.9 x 8mm (dimensions). If you consider the camera bump, then it’s 8.8mm.

Seeing these images of the Nokia 5.1 Plus reminds us of the rich history of Nokia. This one may also feature a notch that could probably remind you of the upcoming Pixel 3 phones.

At first glance, the Nokia 5.1 Plus may remind you of the Nokia X6 because of the notch display. We’re not sure if more Nokia phones will implement the notch design but these two are decent enough with a rear fingerprint scanner, dual cameras, and flash. We’re guessing that is a glass back which may possibly mean wireless charging.

There is no confirmation yet if there is indeed a Nokia 5.1 Plus but we’re certain there is a Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 6.1. The Nokia 5.1 Plus isn’t exactly the variant in the middle but it will be an amped-up version of the Nokia 5.1. Note these images aren’t live photos, just rendered images of the Nokia 5.1 Plus.

If we are to remember previous related reports, the Nokia 5.1 and the Nokia 3.1 and we’re assuming the Nokia 5.1 Plus, will arrive with an almost bezel-less display, Android Oreo, and Android One.
