Huawei has finally announced the Honor 6X. The mid-range smartphone was sighted on TENAA last month weeks before the official launch this October. The device was being prepped for release and we knew this day would come soon. The Honor 6X is a follow-up to Honor 5 series released last year by the top Chinese phone manufacturer and another sibling of the Honor 6 Plus.

The Honor 6X comes equipped with a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved curved screen with 1080p resolution, 4G RAM, 32GB onboard storage, microSD card slot for up to 128GB memory expansion, and dual rear cameras. It’s only a mid-range device but comes already with impressive specs. An Octa-Core Kirin 655 16nm chipset powers the phone and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped with EMUI 4.1.

When it comes to imaging, the dual rear camera system includes a 12MP lens with phase-detection auto-focus and LED flash plus another 2MP for the background blur and depth of field effect. Front-facing camera is an 8MP lens.

Other special features include a fingerprint sensor, Hybrid Dual SIM, unibody metal build, and 4G VoLTE support. There’s the standard WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS as well. All these are powered by a 3340mAh battery and fast charging is also supported.
