The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is one premium flagship phone that will take some sales away from the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. Others may be convinced that it’s a worthy upgrade while some might not be too impressed by the device. Whether you agree that Samsung has done it right again or not, the new Note is expected to score high in benchmarks.
And since the Galaxy Note 7 has the same camera found in the S7 edge, we’re assuming that the phablet will also score high if not the same. Back in March, the new ‘edge’ device became the newest champion on DxoMark with a Mobile Score average of 88 points. The ‘edge’ edged out its older cousin, the S6 Edge+, and the Xperia Z5. At present, the Galaxy S7 edge is tied with the HTC 10 and the Xperia X Performance.
DxoMark has yet to review and analyze the new Galaxy Note 7 but there shouldn’t be any big difference in the results. We won’t assume scores will exactly be the same but we won’t be surprised if the numbers will be close.
To review, the phone has got a 12MP rear facing camera with 26mm f/1.7 lens, 2160p@30fps video module, Dual Pixel sensor, and built-in auto HDR. Samsung has shared a gallery of sample images captured using the new Note 7.

This is one stunning and impressive set. We’re hoping these images are authentic unlike Huawei who faked the supposed P9 phone photos using a DSLR camera but knowing Samsung, they’re real.

Note 7 actually improved quite a lot over the S7, expecially in dynamic range, color accuracy, brightness and sharpness. So it should score higher than the S7 in DxoMark, equalling or surpassing the Pixel.
