Pokemon GO is currently taking the world by storm… well, in most parts of the world that is (saying hi to the Asian Pokemon fans). But that doesn’t change the fact that the app is a real monster that eats up the charge on your smartphone’s battery in no time. So a Pokemon fan put two and two together and solved this problem with some style – a 3D-printed Pokedex case to give you legit Pokemon trainer feels, which doubles as a power bank.

Hobby blogger “NPOOLE” is a tech hobbyist, and he DIY-ing stuff to make technology that much personal. The current project he posted is a 3D-printed case that gives your smartphone areal Pokedex look. He printed it for his Samsung Galaxy S4, but he has made the design files available so anyone with design skills should be able to make one for a smartphone with slightly different dimensions.

The real plus here is that the designer was able to put into the case an 18650 lithium cell which should be able to give you around 2,000mAh more of juice. That’s not much, considering how fast the app burns through your charge, but it will be enough in very tight situations – say, you’re low on power and you just need to capture that rare Aerodactyl. Of course, there’s no stopping you from getting a lithium battery with bigger capacity, as long as it fits in the case.

The result is a really classy and legit Pokedex case, complete with LEDs to show you if the case is charging or needs to be charged as well. Check out the source link for the 3D printer files.
