The new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has yet to be formally announced but we’ll know all about it on August 2. The South Korean tech giant already confirmed the scheduled event and has even sent out press invites. We’re hoping to finally get a hold of the Note 7 and Note 7 edge in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom two weeks from now.

This Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to directly rival Apple’s yet-to-be-unveiled iPhone 7. Samsung has skipped a number from Note 5 to align the phablet series with the S7. We can also look at it as a way to beat Apple. By next quarter, we’re guessing there will be more S7-Note 7 versus iPhone 7 battles and comparisons.

As with the previous leaked images, this set somehow confirms the specs. Actually, even without being reminded of the features, the images we’ve been seeing seem to confirm the rumors. Compare the phone in these images from older leaks and they look almost the same.

So far, here are the specs and features of the Galaxy Note 7 we know: large curved 5.8-inch hi-res Super AMOLED display, 12MP camera with dual-pixel sensor, f/1.7 lens, optical image stabilization, 4K recording, phase detection autofocus, 5MP front-facing cam, S Pen stylus functionality, iris scanner, UFS-microSD card compatible slot, 6GB RAM, and a 3600mAh battery.
