With just a month before the rumored launch, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is slowly being hinted at left and right. Just yesterday, some phone cases were spotted online that showed us a curved edge screen instead of a flat display of the smartphone. We also heard about the 20-hour power courtesy of the 3600mAh battery and the rumored TouchWiz Grace UI.
Aside from the protective cases, the photos leaked earlier this month by Onleaks are the most up close we have on the new phablet. Today, @onleaks again has shared the most believable photo of the Note 7 or at least just the front panel.
It looks slimmer compared to the S7 edge and now we’re almost certain it will have a dual curved screen just like the Galaxy S7 edge. The Note 7 is believed to have a 5.8-inch dual edge screen and an iris scanner. Notice the additional holes on top of the screen which could be for eye-recognition.
Let’s compare:
The oval power button is still there although the Note 7 seems to have a bigger one. The Note 7 is slimmer but there’s a possibility that the image is stretched maybe that’s why the power button-fingerprint scanner appears to be bigger. The earpiece of the Note 7 on the new leaked photo is still surrounded by five holes while the S7 edge only has three.
The image suggests there will be the iris recognition feature. Based on the patent filed by Samsung, the iris scanning system will make use of several types of lenses. We’re guessing those holes represent the lenses or the triple camera system indicated in the pending patent application.
