There seems to be a race among companies that provide mobile payment service. After we learned that Android Pay is coming to Australia, other countries, and more stores in the US and that Google Wallet now allows sending money to any mobile number, here’s another news that proves mobile payment is becoming more popular than ever: Samsung Pay has added 19 new Visa and MasterCard issuers.
Samsung Pay may only be available in a few Galaxy smartphones, specifically the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, and the Note 5, but it seems that more people are already using it not only in South Korea but also in the US. Last week, support for 50 merchant gift cards were added, Square readers started accepting the mobile payment, and more credit and debits cards are now supported. To make things more convenient for more people, Samsung has once again expanded support by adding 19 new issuers from that use either MasterCard or Visa. If your card is from any of the issuers listed above and if you do have a Note 5 or a Galaxy S6 variant, you can now use Samsung Pay to finish your shopping. With more merchants and banks supporting Samsung Pay, you can have that fast and hassle-free shopping you deserve.
Just like most mobile payment methods available, you only need to tap and pay. No need to open your wallet or swipe your card because you mobile phone will be enough. As Samsung continues to expand its Samsung Pay ecosystem, expect more banks, merchants, stores, and issuers to support the mobile payment service.
