Samsung Gear S2 LG Watch Urbane LTE

Device manufacturers were quick to embrace the smartwatch game because it’s easy to connect a smartphone to a wearable. Within the Android platform, Google is making it easier for any developer to integrate the mobile OS with Android Wear. If not Android Wear, at least, based on the wearable OS like Samsung’s own Tizen. For this new season, AT&T is expanding its collection of smartwatches for customers to choose from.

AT&T will start offering the new LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE and the Samsung Gear S2 on November 6, Friday, in stores and online. These two will support the new NumberSync service AT&T introduced a few weeks ago that lets you use your carrier number on other devices other than the main mobile number. This means you can still make and receive calls or send and receive text messages right on your smartwatch even when you leave your phone at home. So when you want to go for a run or a walk for a while but are expecting an important call or text, don’t worry because you’re still accessible on your Samsung Gear S2 or LG Watch Urbane.

First to have 4G support/cellular connectivity is the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE. It’s a bit bigger than the Gear S2 at 35mm. Other specs include a 480 x 480 resolution, 570 mAh battery, stainless steel body, and a TPSiV elastomer band. On the side, you’ll see three buttons that can be used for quick access to favorite apps or contacts. Smartwatch will be ready on November 13 from AT&T.

The Gear S2 from the South Korean giant features a 33mm round screen with 360×360 resolution. It’s the first round smartwatch from the company that is also water, sweat, dust, and dirt-resistant. It’s ready for rough use beginning November 20.

Both smartwatch models will be available for $199.99 with a two-year contract. With no downpayment, you can also get this one for 20 months and a $15/monthly fee. If you currently have a Mobile Share Value Plan, just add $10/month.
