Google definitely did something right when the company introduced the idea of Chromebook back in year 2011. Since then, hundreds of laptop models running Chrome OS as its main operating system were released in different markets all over the world. The Internet giant has collaborated with a lot of manufacturers to release Chromebooks that are offer full computing functions but with very affordable prices.
One of the most trusted Chromebook sellers is HP. We’ve seen a number of HP Chromebooks already. The last one was the Touchscreen HP Chromebook 14 G3 quietly released December last year. Before that, HP faced some issues even reaching a point of being recalled in the market but soon came back with a safer charger. Just recently, HP revealed the bigger Chromebook 14 that boasts of a 9-hour battery life.
Obviously, the HP Chromebook 14 runs the latest Chrome OS version. The 14-inch Chromebook from HP is available in either a 1366 x 768 screen or a Full HD display for an extra $30. It is powered by a 2.16 GHz dualcore Intel Celeron N2840 processor.
The updated HP Chromebook 14 also comes equipped with a 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage, memory card slot for storage expansion, and a free two-year 100GB Google Drive subscription. It’s already a considered a standard size laptop so a full-size keyboard is also expected. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth, multitouch gesture support, HDMI output, microphone, headphone jack, one USB 3.0 port, and a pair of USB 2.0 ports.
HP Chromebook 14 measures only 17.8mm thick and is lightweight at only 3.94 pounds. Device will be available this coming November 8 for only $250. There’s also a special variant for small business and customers in the academe like students and teachers. The Chromebook 14 G4 laptop has been verified for Citrix Receiver 1.8 for Chrome and will have a $279 price tag.
