Jaybird may not ring a bell yet but it’s one of the newer brands that can be trusted when it comes to activity trackers and Bluetooth headphones. We’ve seen the Reign fitness tracking wearable last year and now, here’s a new pair of earbuds called the Jaybird X2, an obvious follow-up to the BlueBuds X also released in 2014.
The second-gen Jaybird headphones are made especially for the sport users that are active and always on-the-go. The pair is definitely an enhanced BlueBuds X but this model is meant to be sold in a larger market starting in September. You see, the first model of headphones was only sold through the company’s website and Best Buy and it’s time that the company reaches a wider audience.
The new wireless earbuds from Jaybird makes use of the maker’s very own Shift audio decoding codec for a better quality and clearer audio even if sound is delivered wirelessly. Bluetooth connectivity has also been improved, thanks to an improved Bluetooth signal on the X2.
Compared to the old model, this Jaybird X2 now boasts a soft matte finish. If you buy a pair, it will come with three sets of special memory foam ear tips in different sizes. A pair costs $180 and already promises an improved battery life up to 8 hours, sweat-proof construction, and better ear fit.
