So we learned that Sony is working on new premium flagship phones. Not just one but two premium phones that will not likely be under the M, C, E, or Z series. We were a bit disappointed about the Z3+ and Z4 but we’re somehow still expecting that a Z5 or a better phone will be introduced later this year.
We might have to forget about that for now and instead wait for the Sony H2 flagship phones especially since the devices are said to use a Snapdragon 810 processor just like the Xperia Z4. Others may not be too happy about that because of the overheating issues we’ve heard but we’re confident that Qualcomm already made the necessary fixes and that most phones in the already use the improved version of the 810 processor.
Some user agent profiles (UAProfs) were recently sighted with references to a Sony E66XX and SonyE58XX and the two using MSM8994 which is actually the Snapdragon 810 processor.
Based on the docs, we also learned that the Sony E58XX and E66XX will have 720p and 1080p displays, respectively. We’re assuming that these mobile devices will already run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Details are scarce yet but most rumours and leaks about the upcoming products usually turn out to be true most of the time. Let’s wait and see if the Sony E6603 and E5803 are indeed the future Sony H2 models.
