We’ve lost count of how many mobile payment methods and systems are already out there in the market but looks like there will be more entering the game. While we’re waiting for new ones to come out, there are tried and tested systems that you should try. Aside from PayPal, Google Wallet, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and the upcoming Android Pay, there’s Square Cash launched two years ago.
Over the years, Square has received numerous support from different companies and has been updated regularly. Last year year, it was updated to ask and send payment requests. The company once denied a buyout because the mobile payment solution is doing great. In fact, Square has made some improvements including a “no cashing out” feature. This means you can deposit your money directly to your personal bank account.
You can send money to your friends for fre or pay for transactions with only a 1.5% fee with the new Cash Pro feature. It’s safe as it requires a passcode and is protected by a special 128-bit encryption. You can also link your MasterCard or Visa debit card to easily send and receive cash.
What’s new in the updated version is the addition of $Cashtags. Sounds like hashtags but this refers to a simple name you share with anyone to receive payment. Just show your $Cashtag, for example, $AndroidCommunity, to get paid or simply let people now that you can be paid via Cash.me. The app now also features Cash.me that lets you make your own Square profile on the web so you can get paid and receive payment from anyone.
