NVIDIA announced the Tegra Note tablet platform back in September. That news was quickly followed by EVGA who unveiled a branded Tegra Note 7 tablet and mentioned that it would be available soon. Well, it appears as if the tablet has begun arriving with US retailers. So far we are seeing a listing with Newegg.

The tablet has arrived at the expected price point, which is to say it is selling for $199.99. And otherwise, there wasn’t any surprise when it comes to the specs either. The EVGA Tegra Note 7 feature set includes a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. There is also a GeForce 72-core GPU and as the ‘Note’ in the name would suggest, the tablet also has an included stylus.

In this case, that would be the NVIDIA DirectStylus which brings the promise of 3x faster stylus performance with finer point and broader stroke control. Other hardware specs for the tablet include 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM and a 4100 mAh battery. There is also HDMI-out and Bluetooth for those looking to connect to a television and pair the tablet with a game controller.

With that in mind, the Tegra Note 7 also features TegraZone access for Android games and arrives with the promise of any future over-the-air updates coming direct from NVIDIA. For now the tablet is running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Remaining hardware includes WiFi and GPS/GLONASS as well as a VGA quality front-facing camera and 5 megapixel rear-facing camera.

All said and done, the EVGA Tegra Note 7 appears to be a nice mix of price and specs. As to how the Tegra Note 7 stands up with real world use, those curious should head over and check out our full written review.
