Motorola’s new RAZR HD is a pretty powerful smartphone and we loved what we saw when they announced it early last month. While sadly we still await for word from Verizon on their DROID RAZR HD, the folks in Canada are able to enjoy the new smartphone starting today.
According to Motorola Canada’s Twitter the RAZR HD LTE is available starting today, exclusively from Rogers. A quick check on their mobile site doesn’t mention it, but apparently the Android 4.0 ICS powered smartphone is available as we speak. The Twitter page is also touting that all day battery life and impressive 4.7-inch display too.
For those here in the US, Verizon still hasn’t released any sort of official release date. When the phone was originally announced we were told it would arrive in October — so hopefully we learn something soon. According to a few tips we’ve received, as well as Droid-Life, Motorola and Verizon could be announcing the DROID RAZR HD and MAXX HD with a release date set for October 18th.
What we do know is they’d better hurry. Most likely the next few weeks will also be filled with Nexus rumors, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Motorola needs to get their new flagship RAZR HD on the market and available to consumers before the Note II and Nexus get announced stateside. We’ll update once we here more. For now check out our DROID RAZR M Review.
