We’ve only just seen it shuttle through the FCC, but according to the latest rumors Verizon’s CDMA version of the Google Nexus One will get its official release on March 23rd. Neowin’s source – apparently a Google employee who has requested to remain anonymous – claims the carrier will unveil the EVDO Rev.A Nexus One on the first day of CTIA Wireless.

The employee did not have any pricing information, however, either for the outright purchase price of the new Android 2.1 smartphone or for Verizon’s data plan or subsidized costs. However they apparently confirmed it would be “competitive” with T-Mobile’s prices for the existing GSM model.

*EDIT* : and this may be a silly question... but I am assuming CyanogenMod ROM would work fine on both the GSM and CDMA version of the N1, is this correct or will different radios cause issues?
My girlfriend is due for an upgrade on March 7th, and if N1 comes March 23 to Verizon, it's not big deal to wait a few extra days.
18 days left, and no official announcements.
