Sony is still in the business of making smartphones. However, it has made some changes by discontinuing some product lines including the Xperia Z. After the Xperia Z5, there won’t be a Z6 anymore but the company has introduced the new Xperia X series which includes the Xperia X, XA, XA Ultra, and X Performance that were introduced at the Mobile World Congress.
Each of the phone’s performance is considered impressive than older models but unfortunately, the heating issues are still there. Of the old phones, the Xperia Z3+ is the most popular for such problem. Main issue is around the camera which interestingly is one of the best in phone imaging technology today.
It may just be because the component is very much busy and efficient although that is not an excuse why Sony shouldn’t check on the issue. Aside from the heating issues, there is also the problem of camera suddenly shutting down. Force shutdowns are more common especially during video recording.
Some people expected that the decision to not include 4K recording in the new Xperia X phones will improve thermal performance but it’s still the same even if resolution is only at 1080p. We’re not certain the main reason for this issue or if this is just a plain bug but we’re crossing our fingers Sony fix it or release a software update very soon.
