The Samsung Galaxy Player for those that don't know is a device aimed at the iPod Touch crowd. For those like us that just love Android this is not only a great alternative, but an overall solid little fun filled device. It's basically a Galaxy S Phone without the phone. It has the same cameras and that amazing 4.0" AMOLED Display, with 5.0" versions in the works also. Today the Galaxy Player has passed through the FCC.

If you would like to read up more about the ipod touch rival check out this story about the Galaxy Player 4 & 5 coming soon. Or this story about it selling over 20,000 in 10 days. From the looks of things Samsung is planning on it being a big hit. Just think, everything the ipod can do and more, running on Android minus iTunes. Can't get any better than that right.

As this device gets closer to an actual release date here in the States we expect to see plenty more stories and news coming soon. We will have some commercials and video's soon my sources tells me. So sit tight and go get a Motorola Xoom while you wait.
